Always look on the bright side of DEATH...'whistles'

Well, I got my results. It's actually not the trainwreck I thought it would be, but I still failed 1 subject. (Damn PSP II!) Mom's upset, of course. Dad's surprisingly cool. Adik doesn't give a hoot. This would of course spoil my plans a bit, but I'll try to make 'em work anyway.

"Frag" itu apa, ah?

Yesterday, I was watching hyenas on Earthvisions. You know how they sound right? Well, my sister changed the channel to Suria, and I thought they too was showing hyenas. But when I look closer, the sounds were actually coming from humans trying to sing. So sad. And it will only get worse in 11 days.

Anyway, believe it or not, Monday was the VERY first time I played Half-Life: Counterstrike (CS to you lazy people). It was OK. But then I tried a similar online game, Team Fortress Classic. It was mind-blowing. CS may be the most popular, but TFC is the most fun. Now I'm trying all sorts of online games. Best part is, of course, it's all free!

You WALK! Kambing!

Against my will, I have been forced to interrupt my Half-Life marathon to "do the walk, do the Big Walk now, do the walk, doing the Big Walk now". God, I hate that song. Anyway, it still is an interesting experience. First time doing the Big Walk. Walking 5.2KM is really not a problem for me. Running 5.2KM is a different story. My sister kept complaining, but what's new? My feet are thankfully not sore, though I expect that will change tommorow. Speaking of which, what does my school want to check my laptop for, hmmm? Don't they trust me? Still, I better remove my Stacy Kiebler photos just in case. ;)

To audition or not to audition? What do you think? ("YOU?! Singapore Idol? Pidah, lah!") I thought you would say that. Well, guess what? I don't WANT to be the Singapore Idol. I just want to take part that's all. With your support or without. Now all I have to do is make my dad sign these papers. Don't be so skeptical guys, it's a mad world we live in where anything can happen after all. And if you're wondering, I can at least sing better than that Hung fellow. Though maybe not dance.

Now, back to more Half-Life.....

"Pakcik marah?" "Eh, tidak! Aku gembira!"

Imagine this scenario. You ask your sister to buy you a chocolate bar. She asks you for the money to buy it. You don't have it, so you decide not to buy one. Instead, as a joke, you ask her to 'steal' one. This scenario happens often between me and my sis. Except today, my mum heard me say that, and despite the 'steal' comment being a joke, she decides to yell at me because she thinks I am really asking my sis to steal something. Now she's acting as if I'm a criminal who deserves to be spit on. This confirms what I keep thinking about my mom: that she really, really needs a sense of humour. And she wonders why I don't open up to her.....

Another day, another post.....

Had an OK day yesterday. Or more specifically, an OK night. Had a boring day as I did my usual day stuff, fighting for the computer, playing games, watching TV. It's at night when it got better. Mom forced me to go out with my adik. I thought it would only take awhile, but it lasted nearly 5 hours. At least I met my good ole buddy Khairomi, Survivor nut, expert dancer and wannabe Singapore Idol. We spent a good 30 minutes catching up and reminiscing on the good times. Anyway, when me and adik finally went home, at 11:30PM, Mom was, well, let's just say sour.

A funny thing happened at a music store I passed by. The DJ for some reason decided to play I Believe I Can Fly as sung by WIlliam Hung. 5 minutes later, everyone was crying, either from the pain in their ears or from laughing too hard. Personally, I've heard a much worse rendition of I Believe I Can Fly. To protect her identity, I shall only call her by the initial K.

Warning to all music lovers!

Most of you would of course remember all those novelty songs, for example THe Ketchup Song, The Fast Food Song and The Cheeky Song. Now I'm writing this to warn all of you about a new novelty song making its round in Europe. It's got a good beat, but it's the singer that's irritating me. Anyway, the song is The Ding Dong Song by some Swedish dude named Gunther. I'm betting that, should Perfect 10 play this, it will annoy any non-techno fan in Singapore by the year-end. Here's some lyrics:

Oh, you touch my tralala. Mm, my ding ding dong.
Oh, you touch my tralala. Mm, my ding ding dong.
My ding ding dong.
Mm, my ding ding dong.
Mm, my ding ding dong.

Don't say I didn't warn ya. ;)

What makes a good title?

Soooooooo, what do I do when I want to post something and yet I have no idea what to post? Hmrmrm, well, I finished Max Payne in 3 days straight. Now that's too short! An ideal length of time taken to finish a game should be about 2 weeks. That's how long it took me to finish Half-Life. Then there was Command & Conquer: Red Alert, which took me 1 1/2 years.

I'm off now, going to fuel up and decide what game to play next.

Tell me, after reading all the above, do you think that I have way too much time on my hands? Cause I think I do.

The feeling hit me like a point-blank shot to the face.....

Just wanna say two things: I'm having an incredible time playing Max Payne. Incredible graphics, excellent (if a little hokey) dialouge, and all out FUN!!!

Secondly: La Toya is out! La Toya is out! Woohoo!

Attack of the Bored

It seems that the holidays come with my worst enemy: ennui. (If you don't know what that means, that's what's Google is for :D ). I just finished watching the 1992 WWF Royal Rumble only for the 2nd time. The first time was in (duh) 1992, 12 years ago. Honestly, I had much more fun watching it then, you know since I thought wrestling was really real. And why should anyone tell me otherwise at that time anyway? There I am, thinking it was all real, and someone comes up and says, "Eleh, wrestling, mengarut lah. All fake anyway". So? Can't I have at least have fun pretending it was real? But of course that was then. Now pro-wrestling is unashamedly fake. No one cares now. All we want is a little fun, and we get it, every Monday and Thursday. BTW, Ric Flair won the Rumble in 1992, if you cared.

Now then, decision time: Do I play Half-Life or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic?

I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to fall.....

Dunno 'bout you, but I'm almost glad Friends is coming to an end. It's funny alright, but it has a little too much drama in it for me. Anyway, if you would like to watch the finale before anybody else in Singapore, you have precisely 14 hours from now to fly to America and find a TV that shows Friends (shouldn't be hard, it's like a national event).

Bye bye guys, you will be missed. But not by me.

YOU MUST RESPECT MAH AUTHORI-TAY!!!

OK, what's on my calendar now? Ooooh, I'm free tommorow. Kinda free at least, since I have to study for my damn final exams on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. THAT is why I've only updated my blog once a week for a while, mmmkay? I'm just taking a break now. Starting next week, I'll be posting more regularly now, ok? ;)

Memo to self: Reply to tags

Minor crisis yesterday. The Sasser worm hit this computer and wreaked havoc. I could connect, but my browsers would show nothing. But of course, thanks to my l33t skills on the keyboards, plus a good kick at the CPU, I got it working again. Scared me there, thought my holidays (next week) was ruined because NO INTERNET! Now I can go back to downloading more South Park episodes.

Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go 'dump' something.
