Correction, make it 4. I'd say this my favourite blog skin yet.

Huh...

Will you look at that? Adding the Haloscan comments and trackbacks was easier than I thought.

3 posts in a day. And you all say I don't update this blog enough.

A blog about Seinfeld

That means a blog about nothin' in particular.

So, adik, you promise to kill me physically and emotionally, hmmm? How ya gonna do that? Whatchu' gonna doooo, brother, eh salah, sister? Trust me, I've been hurt too many times physically and emotionally, you're going to have to come up with something special.

So, an outing to Sentosa tommorow. I don't mind the fact that I'm going with family because hey, it's been a while since both a family outing AND a trip to Sentosa for me. I think the last time was with my camp buddies. In fact, that was exactly a year ago. Ahh, the old camp camraderie. The Eclipz spirit. It's only a flickering flame now, compared to the forest fire a year ago, but it'll always keep burning, I hope. Anyway, I digress. Ah yes, Sentosa. I love that place, especially in the mid 90s when it was packed. Now it's almost back to its old Pulau Blakang Mati days. Actually, I'm worried. With Sentosa Cove and a possible casino coming, Sentosa may turn from a "fun for the whole family" island to a "fun for all rich yuppie scums" island.

A girlfriend is something I know I won't have for quite a while yet, but I'm already thinking of what to do when I finally go on a date. What do I do? What do I say? Where do I go? Will my parents give me enough money? Fast food restaurants are a no-no. One place that I keep thinking of is the area around the Esplanade. Walking around the Esplanade and Merlion, eating at the new Satay Club (delicious Mee Goreng there). Damn those who closed down Centro. And after all that, spend a night at the Fullerton Hotel...okay, I'm thinking too far ahead, better stop now.

So why are actors playing autistic people become so popular? We have of course Zamberi A Patah, a nobody before becoming Cik Leh. He became almost a superstar overnight. And we're not the only guilty ones. Over in the States, another handicapped character on TV is getting way more popular than anyone imagined. In fact, no one thought he could be popular, especially not in the World Wrestling Entertainment. Eugene, played by Nick Dinsmore, is exactly like Cik Leh, except that Eugene is also a wrestler. A damn good wrestler. He appeared on WWE TV, and became popular almost overnight. The internet people who were certain a handicapped person can't be over in WWE were shocked. I wasn't. I've seen it happen in Jeritan Sepi in Suria. It's happening again on WWE RAW. And the writers on the show are doing a commendable job with Eugene, handling the character with care, with lots of comedy, yes, but not until it crossed the offensive line. Eugene is a bright spot in an otherwise dull 2004 season for the WWE. Also a shout out to Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle and John Cena. Word Life.

The difference between "Cute" and "Act Cute"

Cute

Act Cute

"Is this fact? Or have we taken you on a ride?"

Johnathan Frakes rulez! Anyway, on with this post.

Fact: My life is complicated

Fact: But not as complicated as girls

Fact: Arsenal rawks!

Fact: Man U is sh!t

Fact: Soccer is good, floorball is better, pro wrestling is best

Fact: I will win an Emmy award one day.

Fact: Java is Hell

Fact: My dad is kinda like the Singapore Government. Whatever independence I have is strictly limited.

Fact: Outings with my friends (not including BBQs) in my entire life: 4 (Not an exxageration)

Fact: That's either because they've never invited me or I've never asked them.

Fact: If I'm not careful, my life as a NP student may prematurely end.

Fact: 1998/2002 are tied for the Best Year of My Life. 1995 is the Worst.

Fact: Life is just one big soap opera.

Fact: My parents ask me to mix around with people. But only in school. Ratio of times they've allowed me to go to a BBQ vs times they didn't - 1:3

Fact: Before I started my first year in poly, I asked my dad if I could go to a beach party my orientation camp friends have set up. He said no, because he wanted me to concentrate on getting ready for poly life. "You can't have too much fun. School is about to start." Though I didn't argue, I though that he mentioned exactly why I wanted to go. School was about to start. Why not have MORE fun before finally starting school?

Fact: One more thing about my parents, and then I'll stop - every single time I do manage to get out of the house, my parents always, and I mean ALWAYS make me feel guilty about it. They do it subtly. Giving me a look that says "You better come home quick!". One day, they may give me a "Have fun, dear!" look. But I'm not holding my breathe.

Fact: Squirrels are funny

Fact: I have way too much time on my hands right now.

Fact: Any enthusiasm I feel about my studies instantly evaporates when I sit on my butt and actually study.

Fact: It is possible to get by with an $80-a-month allowance. That is if your parents control you like mine does. Oh wait, I'm supposed to stop talking about my parents.

Final Fact: I hate being a blurtoad.

Jived on Java

Note: That l-l-little "0 users" is my l-little at-t-tempt to check to see how many p-p-people exactly are reading my b-b-blog at any moment-t-t in time. I don't think it's work-king right, so just ignore it for n-now.

Now you're p-p-probably wondering why I'm st-st-stuttering. Reason b-b-being, that's how I sound-d-d right now. Aft-ter a little persuasion, I finally went d-down to Coffee B-B-Bean. Being a coffee v-v-virgin, all that extra c-c-caffeine has made me-e-e an edg-g-gy person. My legs are sh-shaking and and I j-just feel like dancing. The stutters are there to show you what I m-mean. Right, I'll stop here-e-e.

Know what? Thanks for inviting me, Faryn & Ernie. I had a great time there, even though it was just us sitting there and sipping Iced Mocha Lattes. The atmosphere, which includes the music and smoke, was excellent. And the coffee wasn't half-bad. Too bad I can't afford any more trips there, but hey it was fun.

And as I said, I will only update my blog only when I feel like it. I am not my adik, blogging every single, b!tching about everything wrong about her life. OK?

Now, if anyone out there would care to point me towards some torrent links to WWE Raw and Smackdown!, I'll be happy.

Toodles. (Tell me I didn't just say that...)

Have you ever had one of those days.....

....when for no reason at all, you just feel happy? Your mood is good, you feel like hugging and kissing everyone you see? You feel like dancing even to songs you detest? It's what's happening to me. Maybe it has something to do with PM Lee Hsien Loong's NDR speech. Wo0t!

And now for something completely similar

Good try Ronald. Look ahead to 2008. Go Jiawei! Go Jiawei!

I look at my exam time table and what do I see? My exams of course. For only 2 subjects, Thursday and Friday. That means I have 3 more days to study. And what am I doing? Blogging! But still, I know I can at least pass these subjects. Just not next week lah. The October exams are the really important ones. Next week's also important lah, but you know what I mean.

The beta version of Counter-Strike: Source is out. I tried it a bit and I loved the new look, baby. Absolutely fabolous! Of course, I still sucked when it comes to playing. But I'll get better.

Gabe Newell, get your kiester off your chair and make your men finish Half-Life 2!

Dive! Dive! Dive!

Well, diving may not be the most glamourous sport in the Summer Games, but I like to watch it anyway. I still wonder how the best divers can enter the pool from 10 meters out without making a splash. Anyway, I just watched a diving final, the Men's Sychronised 3M Springboard final. China of course were the favourites. So of course, when one of their divers made an awful mistake by slipping and making an uncompleted dive, therefore getting a big fat score of 0.00. So who stepped up and took advantage? The home country Greece. It was Euro 2004 all over again as the Greek fans celebrated an unexpected gold medal. I can't blame them. Poor China. Well, anyone who makes a dumb mistake like that doesn't deserve a medal anyway.

And apparently, Ian Thorpe won the 200m freestyle, beating Michael Phelps. Usually I'd say Phelps is over-rated, but not in this case. I truly believe he can be one of the greatest of all time. Just wait till Beijing 2008. Thorpe will be in his prime, and Phelps will be peaking. That will be a showdown I will not miss.

2 months until Half-Life 2. Can't bloody wait.

It's been 1 week, and I'm having fun

What do you know? I'm still alive! My one week 'holidays' have begun, but might as well have no holiday, since my exams are just next week. But hey, I'm ready. Bring it on, I'm gonna kick a$$!

Ah, the Olympics. I have fond memories of Sydney. Here's hoping the new soccer champions of Europe, Greece (that never sounds old!), can do a good job.

My allowance is cut 50%. No problem, there's always Cash Converters.

Here's a pet peeve of mine. How come when everyone's stress, they lose weight, but when I'm stress, I gain weight? Damn my ravenous appetite!

Well, looks like I won't be selected for Floorball IVP team. But what else did I expect? But next year.....LOOK OUT SINGAPORE!!!

Shank, I'll never forgive you for inderictly sticking that Banana Phone song in my head.

Well, that's the afternoon report for ya. Later!

Fahrenhei 9/11

.....also known as "Bush Balik Kampong!"

Figures. I said that this would be posted on Monday, and so it is. Two Mondays later. Ah well, on with the review.

Yup, as I expected, this movie is not so much a 'documentary' as it is a propaganda piece to spread the message: get Dubya out of the White House now. The movie starts on November 2000. Election time. News channels everywhere were calling Al Gore the winner. Except Fox News, which calls George W Bush as President of the United States of America. Could it have something to do with the fact that Bush's nephew was in charge of election news in Fox News? These attacks on Bush keep on coming: Bush allied with the Saudis to attack Iraq so they build a pipeline below to get oil. The Coalition of the Willing, which only allied with the US in the Iraq war because, hey, they have no choice. And of course, the famous 7 minutes Bush spent reading The Pet Goat after hearing of the attacks.

No doubt, Michael Moore used some editing tricks to distort facts so that it would suit his views. But frankly, this is still one entertaining documentary, my favourite. There were more students in the theater that I thought it would be, and they enjoyed the movie tremendously. (The girls in fact, kept saying about Bush, "So cuuuuuute!". When the movie ended, for the first time ever, the audience I was sitting with applauded. That didn't happen even during Star Wars Episode 1.

Bottom line, Michael Moore set out to make his case against Bush and he suceeded. But whether or not Bush is elected, I don't care. What I care about is whether I was entertained. And heck, I was.

Where are my peeps?!

So, after thinking about it, I decided to heck care and visit my school again. I thought I'd meet some old friends. I thought WRONG! Sure I met Faiz and Fajrina, among others, but that's it? Please, show some support for our old school, guys! Ah, what am I saying, most of 'em don't know about this blog in the first place. Ho-hum. Maybe next time. Teacher's Day maybe. (Someone invite me, please!)

I'm gonna piss some people off, but hey, I'll say it anyway. I like Michael Moore. If not personally, then let's just say I like his work, the ones I've seen so far. Bowling For Columbine is a great pro-gun control movie which shows an America in need of strict gun usage. But it can't compare with Fahrenheit 9/11 which I'll touch upon later. And I've read the guide to his TV show, TV Land, which definitely sounds like the best non-fiction TV show I've heard of. Better than some of those 'reality' shows. What about his politics? They're mostly American politics, so what do I care? Let the Republicans worry about that. Yes, he manipulates facts, but he does 'em so well, you gotta give it up for that. I mean, I do it myself sometimes.

My nenek has rotated to my uncle's house now, so I'll have the house to myself again. At last, loud techno music with no one to tell me shut that radio off!

Could it be the Saudis? Damn, it was them!

Ahhh, nothin' like a bowl of Mee Soto in the middle of the night, eh? Well, it's been one heck of a week last week. What with my skin condition acting up again, my work piling up, my efforts to get a date futile and my laptop getting stolen. All in all, not a good week. But hey, least I still have my sanity, right? Feh.

I think it's time I start reviewing the movies I see in the cinemas, starting next Monday. The first movie I'll review is Fahrenheit 9/11, that Michael Moore documentary. Interesting movie that. Of course, it's now infamous throughout the world as the one where the fat, goateed guy dissed his president. But hey, at least it gave publicity to the children story, The Pet Goat, "a story so gripping, you can't put it down, even when your country is under attacked!"

Can't wait to see Collateral. Sure, it stars that egoist Tom Cruise, but he's a villain in this one. He always looked villainous to me.

Finally, a joke to round off yet another boring blog entry. This joke is dedicated to my sister.

Q: How many wome with PMS does it take to screw a lightbulb?
A: One. ONE!!! And do you know WHY it takes ONE?! Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a lightbulb. They don't even know the bulb is BURNED OUT. They would sit in this house in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it OUT. And once they figured it out they wouldn't be able to find the lightbulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CUPBOARD for the past SEVENTEEN YEARS. But if they did, by some miracle, find and change the lightbulbs, TWO DAYS LATER the chair that they dragged from two rooms over to stand on to change the STUPID lightbulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!!!! AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE CRUMPLED WRAPPER THAT THE STUPID $#@!*^&% LIGHTBULBS CAME IN. WHY??? BECAUSE NO ONE IN THIS HOUSE EVER CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!!!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE 12 FEET DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THE HOUSE!! THE HOUSE!!! IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS..............I'm sorry, what was the question again?

A minute's silence

I'm assuming this is no joke, so Faryn's blog has shut down for good, so I'd like to bow down my head and pray for the passing of one of the most colourful sites of the web. OK, prayer's over, what's for breakfast?

Seriously though, if the closure is because of the problems I heard you were havin', I'm truly sorry.

If all this really is a joke, well, that's what the delete button is for, isn't it?

Boom Boom

Man, I'm beginning to hate Tuesdays. My worst days seem to be coming from that day. OK guys, short entry here, since I feel like posting something but I don't know what to say. Just that I'm finally beginning to see Friendster's appeal. As usual, I'm a little late in seeing it, but at least I'm seeing it, right? Later.

Not just another dance song...

Lola's Theme by the Shapeshifters

Don't dismiss this as another cheesy dance song. Ok, maybe it is, but it's the best of its kind. Iit has a beat that you can't resist. When you hear this song, you will lose control of your feet as they try to boogie down. If this doesn't happen to you, you must really hate dance songs. Guaranteed to at least put a smile on your face, perfect theme for this summer.

Parker!!!

Time to let the cat out of the bag.

I'm Spider-Man.

Hey, what's so funny?

Alright, laugh if you will, but when someone is disturbing, don't crying to me for help.

In all seriousness, after months of the Simpsons, I decided on a change of skin. And oh my it fits perfectly, even if it is a little bloody. I also got a new skin for my blog. Nice, isn't it? Of course it's nice. I chose it.

Now then, yesterday, I was sitting in the Atrium as usual at night minding my own business. This group of Malays (hip-hoppers) were practising for something, I don't know. They finished practice, and decided to play a little Truth or Dare. I found this out when one of the girls in the group came up to me and said that she was dared to "grind" me. To those who know what I mean, wipe that smirk off your face and don't tell anyone. For those who don't, well, keep on not knowing. Anyway, being the sport I am, I agreed to let her "grind" me to the tune of Hey Mama by the Black Eyed Peas. She was embarressed, I was embarressed, the others were slapping me on my back, telling me I was cool. Y'know, incidents like these makes me feel glad that I am a teenager.

Spidey-sense tingling. Trouble's brewing. A bowl of Mee Soto is out there, crying to be eaten, and I'm the only one who can do it. Catch ya later!

(Hey, don't blame me for the cheesiness in that last paragraph, blame Stan Lee!)
